### Environmental Impact

Generative AI can have a significant environmental impact due to the power and water consumption of GPUs. We are aware of that and are taking steps to prevent and offset that impact.

The GPUs where Thalis AI is currently running are located in residential homes rather than in commercial data centers.
The GPUs are powered using renewable energy (wind and solar) and contribute to residential heating during the winter, reducing natural gas usage both in the home and at the power plant.
The GPUs do not use evaporative cooling, any liquid cooling is using a closed loop.
TBD% of profits will be donated to planting trees.
After reviewing the power consumption and economics of the project, we believe it will be environmentally neutral and may become net positive, depending on revenue and donations.

### Copyright and Licensing

Please do not include any licensed artwork in your data sets. Data sets including images with signatures or watermarks will be rejected unless copyright ownership can be established (in short, it’s ok if you drew it yourself or if you have full ownership for all commercial usage).
Character models are trained using AI-generated images and artwork with clear ownership, including public domain works.
Character models are based on open-source foundation models, especially ones that were trained on open-source datasets, and provenance information is available on request.

If you are not certain about the copyright for a particular image, please ask the original artist or photographer before including it in your data set.
